Community guidelines and safety

Draft, not in force. The final text is being reviewed by our lawyer.

Draft, not in force. Version 0.1, 29 October 2026.

Plain-language summary

Be kind, be on time, be honest, and keep everyone safe. Respect people's privacy and the places you shoot in. Keep bookings, chat and payments confirmations in the app. If something feels wrong, stop, leave, and press SOS or call 112.

1. Rules for everyone

1.1 Respect. No harassment, threats, hate speech, or discrimination because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.

1.2 Honesty. Use your real identity. No fake profiles, fake reviews, fake payment confirmations or false reports.

1.3 No sexual content or advances. Byeselfie is not for nude, sexual or "boudoir" shoots, and no one may ask for them or make sexual advances. [Founder decision: confirm this scope.]

1.4 Consent and touch. Ask before touching anyone, even to fix hair or a pose. "No" means stop.

1.5 Keep it on Byeselfie. Plan the Shoot in the in-app chat and confirm payments in the app. This gives both sides proof if there is a problem. Do not move a booking outside the app to avoid the booking fee.

1.6 Legal and safe places only. No Shoots in places where filming is banned, on roofs, railways, cliffs, roads or other dangerous spots, or in private places without permission. See the Filming Rules.

1.7 No illegal activity, weapons, drugs, or being drunk or high during a Shoot.

1.8 Privacy. Do not share another user's personal data, photos or chat outside the app.

2. Rules for tourists

2.1 Come on time to the agreed meeting point. If you will be late, tell the Creator in the chat.

2.2 Pay the Creator as agreed: half before, half after. Confirm each payment in the app.

2.3 Children can join a Shoot only with their parent or guardian present.

2.4 Review honestly and only about your own Shoot.

3. Creator Code of Conduct

Creators must:

3.1 Arrive on time at the meeting point and wait at least 20 minutes before marking a no-show.

3.2 Do the package as described on the profile. Agree any extras and their price with the tourist before doing them.

3.3 Be polite, patient and professional. Give clear posing tips. Never mock or pressure a tourist.

3.4 Respect boundaries. Ask before touching. Never insist on poses or places the tourist does not want.

3.5 Use the tourist's phone, unless you both agreed in the offer that you shoot on your own device. In that case send the tourist all files on the spot, before completion, then delete them from your device and backups. Never keep or send yourself copies. Use content in your portfolio only with the tourist's written OK in the app.

3.6 Never ask for money beyond what was agreed, and never pressure about tips. Never ask for payment before the agreed time.

3.7 Respect bystanders: do not film people who clearly do not want to be filmed, and follow the Filming Rules.

3.8 Keep tourist data private and use it only for the booking.

3.9 Keep your profile true and up to date, including your calendar, so tourists do not book times you are not available.

3.10 Never come to a Shoot under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

4. Safety

4.1 Meet in public. First meeting points must be public places (a square, a landmark, a café). Do not get into a stranger's car or go to a private home.

4.2 Share your plan. Use "Share my Shoot" in the app to send the time and meeting point to a friend.

4.3 SOS. If you feel unsafe, leave and press SOS in the app or call the local emergency number: 112 in Milan, Rome, Paris, Barcelona, Lisbon, Amsterdam and Prague; 999 or 112 in London; 911 in New York; 112 or 911 in Yerevan. [SOS behaviour to be described here once the founder decides what SOS does.]

4.4 Valuables. Keep your phone and bag close. Hand your phone only to your Creator.

4.5 Weather and heat. In storms, strong heat or official weather warnings, agree a new date. Safety comes before the Shoot.

5. Reporting and what we do

5.1 Report a problem with the "Report" button on a profile, review or chat, or email [safety@byeselfie.com]. For emergencies, call the local emergency number first (see 4.3).

5.2 We review reports with care. Safety reports go first. We may ask both sides for their view.

5.3 Possible actions: a warning, removing content, lower ranking (Creators), temporary suspension, or removal from Byeselfie. Serious safety breaches can lead to immediate removal and, where needed, a report to the police.

5.4 We always tell you the reasons for a decision about you and how to ask us to review it.
